A walk along Nottingham's canal

Recently I've been considering getting a "walk about" camera to replace my rather ageing and little used Canon G6. Today I took the G6 for a walk along Nottingham's canal and these are the results.

Clock tower by the canal.

Reflections of modern flats in the canal.

Former British Waterways warehouse.

Church at Weekday Cross.

New flats being built.

Canal Street lock.

Nottingham Castle.

Flats along the canal.

Office block alongside the canal. This is a stitch of three images produced in Photoshop Elements.
All the other images were processed in Adobe Lightroom 3 beta.
All images origianally shot in RAW.

  1. Hi, First time I have posted a comment on here, and definately not the last by the look of these. For me out of the set i like the "new flats being built" shot, there is something about half build new buildings i like. The refelctions in the water in that shot as well as the interest of the clouds in the sky i feel really help.
Also very impressed with the "office block alongside the canal" image, very good stiching work, the building looks very imposing and powerful in the shot. Im not sure if its me but the buidling looks like its tilted to the left, for example the left tower is lower down than the right?
