Newark, Nottinghamshire

Here are some pictures of NEWARK taken with a SIGMA DP1s I'm currently reviewing for a magazine.

  1. These are promising images from the DP1s, but it's hard to tell from seeing them online just how much better their image quality is than you'd get from a small-sensor compact like the Canon G11. As we've discussed for a while, it's hard to know how best to spend the not inconsiderable sum required for a small digicam promising useable results, or indeed whether to carry on waiting for the technology to mature ...

  2. It's anoying to know that as soon as you spend the cash the technology will improve:( The dynamic range of the newer camera is clearly much better then the G6. BUT as ever what do you want to use the pictures for? The 14mp Foveon chip is well up to producing Exhibition quality prints, but lack of a zoom is limiting.
