A White Christmas in Bingham

Hi, It was a great delight to see the snow fall on Christmas morning:)

As soon as it was light I dashed down to the Market Square in Bingham to take these pictures of the Buttercross draped in white snow.

Very little trffic has passed through the town center before I arrived

Here are some views of Bingham from within the Buttercross.

This last shot was taken on my Canon G6 about mid-day as we walked home from Church.
Wishing everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  1. Liking these alot. Nice and crisp, lovely winter images with a cool blue sky. Its almost like a ghost town isnt it, no one really there, although looks like someone has been with the tyre marks in the snow. The two standout shots for me are the ones where you have framed the scene in the archway, almost like putting a fram around your picture within a picture if that makes sense. The other one i really like is the shot where the snowy tire tracks lead your eye right into the frame. Excellent stuff.

  3. Hi Malcolm, best wishes for 2010.
Lovely shots, some lovely architecture well catured. As mentioned, where is everybody, you are either very fortunate of extremely patient, lack of folk really adds to the scenes.

  4. Hi David, Many thanks for your comments. I was up early Christmas Day to get these shots - hence no people to get in the way. With snow on Christmas Day I was like a kid with a new toy:-).
